Resident Assistants
Resident Assistants (RAs) are members of the Student Services staff who assist the Directors of Women’s and Men’s Services in all areas of residence life. Each RA has a designated “section” of a dorm. The responsibilities of an RA include: maintaining order and harmony in the residence halls and on campus; conducting room checks to insure all facilities are kept safe and in good repair; reporting illnesses of students, maintenance requests and other irregularities to the Directors; providing devotional opportunities in the dorm on a weekly basis; serving as a liaison, sharing student concerns and serious problems with the Student Services staff; and offering peer counseling.
